The immediate successor to the first generation A1200 Bifrost, the Heimdall Edition improved on the basic concept and implemented a plethora of new features invented during the lifespan of it's predecessor. Designed anew from scratch as the "to-be-flagship" of A1200 LED indicator solutions it got equipped with double MPU memory to facilitate a vastly upgraded software, three individual LEDs per row (instead of just one), six configuration buttons (instead of three) and added channels for PCMCIA, 2x custom inputs and even CAPS LOCK module support.
  The A1200 Bifrost, Heimdall Edition, was released for pre-orders on 16th March 2020 and pre-orders were all delivered out in July 2020.

 The A1200 Bifrost board was the first fully customizable LED board for the Amiga 1200 computer. Also known as first-gen (first generation) it was released in April 2017 and discontinued in March 2019. Throughout it's availability many improvements were implemented, ultimately growing out of the hardware and rendering the board design obsolete. The whole board would be redesigned from scratch with all improvements in mind and thus replaced by the next gen A1200 Bifrost, the Heimdall Edition, and it's simplified spin-off board, the A1200 Bifrost II.
